Brewista Artisan Gooseneck Kettle

Variable-temperature electric gooseneck with a hold function. Temperature control matters most for tea, where green and white leaf scald above roughly 80 °C and turn bitter, and for anyone brewing both coffee and tea from the same kettle.

What it does

  • Variable temperature
  • Hold function
  • Gooseneck pour control
  • Suits tea as well as coffee

Who it suits

  • filter brewing where you want to control the pour rather than press a button
  • anyone brewing one or two cups at a time

Who should skip it

  • anyone who wants coffee waiting for them when they get downstairs — this is a hands-on method
  • high-volume mornings; a batch brewer is the honest answer for four cups or more

The thing worth knowing

Filter choice changes the cup as much as the device. Paper traps the diterpenes that raise LDL cholesterol; metal mesh does not, and gives a heavier body in exchange.

What we have not done

We have not independently tested this product. The description above is compiled from the manufacturer’s published specification and from what the category demands, and it is written to tell you who the equipment suits rather than to sell it. Where we have no first-hand experience, we say so rather than inventing a star rating.
